HRND Future Plans

  1. Irrigation, Dam/Canal Construction to improve agriculture activities in the remote areas where people cannot access to educated water for cultivation
  2. Establishment of community Development Centre in the rural community for providing access to:

    -Vocational training to poor/vulnerable Villages and Model Centre.
    -Tree nursery construction in this centre for reforestation (Fruit tree/timber trees replanting)
    -Served as the venue for the exposure visits by local people, Organization, all kind of visitors via home stay in the in the centre.
    -Local product exhibitions (Display about agricultural, handicraft products product by selected villages from the vulnerable families and to improve their income generation.
    -Conduct skill training on agricultures handicraft (Silk, mate, basket, weaving) for the poor villages.
  3. Village bank (micro-credit for small business) for the poor people to start on their planned business activities with the lowest interest.
  4. Nutrition program to provide extra supply food for the school children who air facing with malnutrition.
  5. Community school children formal, non formal education improvement.

    Community school children sponsorship via providing schooling materials, primary health care to selected target communities where most of the kids are from vulnerable and disable families to ensure their regular attending the school program.
  6. Contruction of clean-water project

    -Establishment the clean–water project through the construction of the water-filters for primary schools in the rural communities.

    This project will give access to clean & safe water to the children and kids of the schools. Nowadays, unfortunately, these children do NOT have access to clean and adequate water ! This project will tremendously increase the quality of the water thses children drink during the day.
  7. Charity Projects for exposure visit to other areas.

    - This project is carried out in collaboration with Tourist agents in Angkor Wat region to implement the tour-guiding service to local/ international visitors to visit, learn or experience to/from Khmer culture, Civilization, Historical, archaeological and ancient sites and resorts (Angkor Wat and ecotourism areas).

    -The fund obtained from the guiding activities to go toward supporting humanitarian causes, disable people, exposure visits, vocational training, poorest families and also for disaster management and responding

    -Local/International visitors who wish to visit archaeological, historical sites or ecological resorts (Angkor Wat regions, ancient Temple date back to 9th-12thcenturies,

HRND's Projects Achievements

From the start of Overall Project activities, HRND has achieved its planned activities as followings:

  1. Agriculture Projects:

    • Intergraded farming (Families home-garden projects were benefited by 650 families, 298 Female, 352 males) from 7 villages, One commune of Siem Reap Province.
    • Livestock/animal raising, benefited by 1527 families (768 females, 759 males) from 8 villages.
    • Rice bank, benefited by 425 families (2125 people included with 1275 females).
    • Cow bank, benefited by 8 villages (4 females,4 males), poorest families.
    • Irrigation System, the dam and water-regulator support for agriculture and 1695 families (8485 people including 5091 females) benefit from this irrigation.

  2. Education Projects:

    • Formal education:
      - 30 parentless school children were sent to SOS, NGO support school.
      - 635 pupils were provided with schooling materials and micro-Libraries.
      - 253 pupils were provided with primary health care, medical cheek up.
      - 3 Local Teacher were supported with salary improvement to enable them to provide the better education to the school kids.

    • Non formal education:

      Information disseminations were conducted on Domestic violence, Human Right awareness, Family hygiene, Primary health care.

  3. Environmental Activities:

    • Forestry conservation participated by 1695 families, 8485 people, on community projected forest.
    • Reforestation on the total land areas of 20 hectares around ancient temple, Angkor Projected areas.

  1. the Agricultural Activities are:

    Integrated Farming, Animal, Livestock farming, Rice bank, Cow bank, Irrigation (Dam/Canal) improvement for the rural areas.

  2. the Education Activities are:

    Support for Children attending school, Providing school materials, Establishment of micro-library, Improve primary education quality Via Teachers’ wage Enhancement, Social aware nesses on Domestic violence, Human Right, Primary health care, Nutrition for Vulnerable school children.

  3. the Environmental Activities are:

    • Forestry conservation, Animal, Wildlife and marine-life conservation
    • Reforestation in collaboration with the local government / nongovernmental agencies
